The spanner crab picture is from Scales Seafood, a too popular fish and chip place. It was too crowded at lunch time for our liking, so I can't comment on the food.
After lunch beach time was soothing, but too windy to stay long. We were having such a good wildlife day that I decided to push our luck and look for dolphins in the Tweed River. Bam. We found some. But wait, the eco-tour is not over, yet. The crested pigeons are common around here, but the birds in the last 3 pictures were new to me. I got help from a Facebook bird group to identify them as a pair of fig birds.
