Fifteen hours later we were in Vancouver making the last connection to get to Victoria and home.
That means that soon I will be posting to my CanBobPhotoBlog again, and these pages will be idle for a while.
Thanks to Barry for getting us to the GC Airport. I think it was appropriate that the Virgin jet that took us to Sydney was the Little Beach! There were no good photo ops of beaches leaving Gold Coast City, but a Quantas jet on approach to a runway parallel to our kept me amused on our our way down to Sydney Airport. We took the train from the domestic to the international terminal, and I managed to breathe a little local air and admire the blue skies while Jan filled out the exit declarations for leaving the country. I got a couple of shots of the Sydney waterways and beaches as we left.

What do I expect from me on my last day down under for 6 months? I expect to (besides finalizing the packing) do some of the things that I really like doing, and will most likely do again when we return in September.
Capture a zen moment with the dawn light. Laugh at the antics of the rainbow lorikeets. Lunch at a surf club (Palm Beach again this time). Beach walk - this time at Tugun/Belinga, which will be our home beach next go round. Search for meal deals - like steak night t Tugun SLSC, or Tugun Tavern. We finalized the packing & loaded suitcases into Barry's car for the early morning ride to the airport. One final shot of the stack of thinks we are leaving behind to use next time. Special thanks to Jill & Brendan! |
