A section of Burleigh Heads National Park was turned to ash in mid-October (http://www.goldcoastbulletin.com.au/news/burleigh-headland-smouldering-after-large-fire-destroys-part-of-the-national-park/story-fnj94j0t-1227091790200). Six weeks on, grasses have establish a significant foothold. There is still risk of major erosion and rock falls it the area gets hit with heavy rains, but it is looking a whole lot better.
