Crossed the highway for supper tonight. Good vibes!

Cloudy start to the day for my early beach walk. Road trip planned with Thor from Sumas, Wash., USA. He rented a car & will drive and we will act as navigator & tour guides. As we walked to the bus we saw a new to us kind of bird - a Straw-necked ibis. We played with the rainbow lorikeets at CWS before Thor picked us up there. We did one of our favorite little tours. Tweed Coast road down to Cabarita Beach, Hastings Point, Pottsville, and Wooyung Beach Reserve. Inland via Tweed Shire Art Gallery to lunch at Astral Cafe in Murwillumbah. Visited Buck's Bush Tucker Garden before heading back by way of Tomewin Road and Freemans truck garden market.
Still had energy and the thunderdclouds moved off-shore, so I had an evening beach walk too. Boss day! Went to a breakfast meeting of the CWS volunteers social club this morning. To protect the guilty, no pictures were taken. We walked along the mangrove swamp boardwalk on the northern side of Currumbin Creek at a good time of tide to see the crabs come out and play. Fiddler crabs with one over-sized yellow claw (size matters!) as well as other crabs with equal sized orange claws. Black winged stilts are the shore-birds.
View of our beach and dune regeneration fences. Yup, another perfect kind of day in paradise. Dawn & dusk beach walks with a bus/tram ride to the library in the middle. Not too harsh!
After a good day at the Sanctuary (see CWS page) I managed to get down to the beach and finally put some weight in my dumb-bells.
OK, so most of the pics are at the beach (again), but one of them is from Pacific Fair. I call the design White Nudibranchs.
From sunup to sundown, the beach keeps me amused, and I never tire of trying to get a better picture. Storms moving though our area created some interesting cloud effects today.
