Lost Valley pictures: cassuary, capybaras, red panda, bleeding heart pigeon, chameleon, tree kangaroo, sun conure, and ring tailed lemurs.
It rained yesterday, so the morning rainbow lorikeet feeding was raucous! A pair of magpie geese and a family of ducks were in the grey kangaroo paddock. Lost Valley pictures: cassuary, capybaras, red panda, bleeding heart pigeon, chameleon, tree kangaroo, sun conure, and ring tailed lemurs.

Today was my second shift back for this Australia stay. I am still not in "game shape", but I did manage to contribute more than last week. So what if I gave myself an early mark & went home to sleep for a couple of hours before supper! :)
Here are some cute koalas from today, a picture of a pelican coming in for a landing at the pelican & eel feeding show, and my home packed lunch. Note the ginger cookie friend Barb made for my return. The last picture is of Jessie. This is her second trial day on our crew. As it was her birthday, the boss keeper gave her a koala cuddle and a free professional photo. I was also due for a koala cuddle, but I could not hang in long enough today to get it. The term totally knackered comes to mind! It's good to be back!
Koala. Tammar wallaby. Chris is our current lorikeet whisperer. I had fun taking selfies with the birds. Brown coo-coo dove. Red kangaroos. Construction site for the new bird show arena. Eastern grey kangaroos, including Onezie, the one ear roo. And a nice reunion with Gail & Jenny who used to be on my Thursday wildlife koala team. Well, I can't claim to doing a lot of real work today, but I returned to my duties as a wildlife volunteer on the Koala Photos round. I claim jet-lag as an excuse for today, but I'm sure to be right by next week. I did manage a bit of a walk-about, to see our salt water croc mama and her nest, as well as dropping in on the pelican & giant eel feed. There are quite a few new koalas on site, and the ones I sort of know have moved to new locations. Must spend time getting to know who's who & who's where! I'm baaaack! Well, I have not officially returned to CWS, yet, but I dropped in today fox a toolbox talk on reptiles presented by marvelous Mike Vella.
